The Annual Holiday Food Drive was a success thanks to the generous donations from the Woodland learning community and our valued community partners. With your help, we served more than 80 Woodland families with extra food and warm coats, hats, and gloves.
Here are a few pictures of our team of volunteers setting up for the event, including Tobias Comfort Dog! A special thank you to the Warren Township High School students from Students of Service, National Honor Society, and Avanza for helping throughout the night.
Geometry + Measurement = Fun! Students around the building enjoyed visiting Mrs. Newman's and Mrs. Valkenaar's Math Labs to celebrate the end of Trimester 1. Keep up the great work, mathematicians!

REMINDER: Students will follow a half day schedule on Nov. 25 & 26 for Parent Teacher Conferences, and the district is closed Nov. 27 - 29 for the holiday break. Have a great week Wildcats!

The end of Trimester 1 means Report Cards, Positive Behavior Celebrations, and ROAR raffle prizes! Students that were referral-free in Tri 1 were entered participate in a Game Day celebration and current student leaders drew raffle tickets for fabulous prizes! Way to go Wildcats! Keep up the outstanding ROAR behavior in Trimester 2!

Congratulations to Emersyn and Caylan for being recognized with a Young Citizenship Award from The Exchange Club of Gurnee! In addition to recognizing these amazing Woodland students, the Exchange Club presented all four Woodland school principals with new American Flags for our schools. The students and staff at Woodland Intermediate invited the special veteran in their family to attend a Veterans Day Ceremony. The event featured a selection of patriotic songs of gratitude performed by the Intermediate Choir, and the Veterans Day Writing Contest Winners read their winning entries for the audience. #LifeintheW

Woodland's 4th and 5th grade students invite you to enter the world of Snow White, the seven dwarves, and the Evil Queen in this years Fall Play. But be warned, this isn't your typical Disney Snow White, this is the Brothers Grimm tale with a twist!
The Tale of Snow White is coming to the Intermediate stage at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 8, 2024.
Tickets available at the door. $5.00
REMINDER: The state of Illinois requires school districts to be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day.

No one parties like Intermediate! We popped by to visit a few classes today for one final round of Fall Parties. 4th & 5th grade students closed out the week playing games, making crafts, and hanging out with friends.
