About Us

Operations & Facilities is responsible for over 1,100,000 square feet of buildings, which includes four school buildings, one administration building, 2 transportation buildings and 2 ground buildings. This Lake County elementary District covers 33 square miles, 146 acres of district property serving all of unincorporated Gages Lake and Wildwood, and parts of Gurnee, Grayslake, Park City, Third Lake, Old Mill Creek, Wadsworth, Lindenhurst and Waukegan. The Department oversees construction, vendors & contractors, architects & engineering efforts, Health Life Safety, annual inspections, integrated pest management program, asbestos management planning, and other programs outside the education arena.

Welcome to Woodland Event Scheduling

Please review this information then complete the request form for your event.

  • School staff will review and approve; you will receive an email confirmation.

  • District events have priority for scheduling.

  • All requests must be received at least 2 weeks prior to event.

  • A Certificate of Liability Insurance (minimum $1,000,000.00) is required 2 weeks prior to any event, with Woodland named as Additional Insured.

  • Gym use requires current CPR/AED certification of at least one adult who will be present at all events.

  • If the District is closed for any reason, all events will be cancelled.

  • Any changes needed after approval will be coordinated with the school office.

  • Woodland considers security a priority. Please comply with access and security instructions.

  • We have an inventory of table and chairs available at each building -they will not be transported for use at other buildings. We do not loan technology / AV equipment.

  • An adult, over 21 years of age, must be present for all activities and be present during the entire rental period. The person will be responsible for the proper use of the facilities and the proper conduct of those in attendance.

  • The following are prohibited on school property: smoking, narcotics, drug paraphernalia, consumption of alcohol, foul or abusive language, gambling or weapons. It is the responsibility of the organization to enforce this requirement.

  • Only the areas of the school for which this request has been made shall be used. It is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure that group participants are only in the area(s) approved in the facility usage.

  • Reoccurring events need to be resubmitted each school year.

  • Hours of Operation:

  • Week nights – event must end no later than 8:30pm (contact schools for event start times)

    • Weekends – 8:00am – 3:00pm
