Establish positive relationships
Make responsible decisions
Handle challenging situations constructively.
Staff Training
All District 50 educational staff receive training in the following:
Bullying
Cultural Competency and Racial Bias

Multitiered Systems of Support
Crisis Response Plan
Additionally, staff receive ongoing training throughout the year in relation to identifying and responding to student social emotional health and wellness needs in order to support all learners. Social Emotional Health and Wellness are embedded in the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Belonging goal of the 2023-2028 Woodland School District 50 Strategic Plan.
Our District goals align with The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Framework for applying evidence-based social emotional health and wellness strategies for the entire District 50 community. We recognize that needs vary greatly throughout our community, and District 50 is committed to providing ALL students with the social emotional health and wellness supports needed to meaningfully engage in learning. Each school provides a SEL block as an ongoing part of their schedule.
